To SEE beyond the physical plane

Creating & Imagining

Creating and imagining allows for an alchemical transformation. We liberate our soul and the soul of the world in our ability to see alternative realities. At BELOVED we are creating and imagining a new/old way of being. Imagining, our ability to see in our mind, is a critical component to our quest within. Visionaries, the historical figures that moved humanity forward, could "see" beyond.

“I awoke only to find that the rest of the world was still asleep.”

Leonardo da Vinci

Quiet your mind and see

Go within

BELOVED offers a space to connect and explore your mind (within) and your world (without). Our offerings and the land itself are intended to awaken you to an old/new way of being, an embodiment of spirit in matter. In connecting inward to our divinity, we are able to realize our connection to the world. You already have the answers, you are the answer. You must go within.

Carl Jung uses a technique for accessing our imagination that allowed the spontaneous expression of unconscious material. Jung described active imagination as a putting aside of conscious criticism while we allow our irrational to play or fantasy. Jung linked active imagination with the processes of alchemy in that both strive for oneness and inter-relatedness from a set of fragmented and dissociated parts. It is our ability to SEE.

"Without this playing with fantasy no creative work has ever yet come to birth. The debt we owe to the play of the imagination is incalculable."

Carl Jung

 HEART + MIND = BELIEF

feel>think>act

Georgia O'Keeffe

To create one’s own world takes courage. Whether you succeed or not is irrelevant, there is no such thing.  Making your unknown known is the important thing.”

The Visionary Arts

ART and SCIENCE

Art and science are human attempts to understand and describe the world around us, the seen and unseen forces. The subjects and methods have different traditions, and the intended audiences are different, but the inspiration and objectives are fundamentally the same.

One of the most primitive innate needs of humans is to understand the world around us. We need to quantify our existence. We have a base desire for predictability and stability. We often prefer the world of matter.

Both artists and scientists strive to see the world in new ways, and are compelled to communicate that vision. They seek to understand the unseen and unknown. Historically they have been the visionaries that moved humanity forward, often reluctantly and occasionally violently.

"All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree. All these aspirations are directed toward ennobling man's life, lifting it from the sphere of mere physical existence and leading the individual towards freedom."

Albert Einstein
